大学院はあっという間に終わった。芸大で過ごした時間、素敵な想いでを一生忘れない。今日修士の学位を授与されたので、これから社会人として版画の制作を頑張る。きっと楽な事ではないが、将来に何が出来るかを楽しみにしている。

Today I graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Fine Arts. I am now the proud owner of an MFA in printmaking! Yay!

New beginnings

School has ended, access to the amazing equipment at the University is over. While there are some co-operative print studios in Tokyo, I have not found there to be anything up to the standards or reasonable prices in Canada. Therefore, a group of graduating students and I have created a small private studio. Unfortunately there is only an etching press, but that means I will have a chance to experiment and get away from what has become too familiar.

東京医科歯科大学

今日から一年間東京医科歯科大学教養部国府台キャンパスで修了作品が展示される。部屋の懐かしい雰囲気と作品の薄い色が結構合うので、とても満足した。

As of today, my works will be on display for one year at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University. The nostalgic feeling of the room actually works quite well with the subdued colours in my prints. I hope they will be enjoyed during their stay.
