HAN V has ended

Thank you everyone who came out to support us at Roid Works Gallery. It was a great 2 weeks, with many visitors, some old friends and some new. I look forward to next year, when we can have HAN VI.

About Me

Valerie Syposz: Printmaker from Ottawa, Canada. I work with lithography, linocut, wood engraving, wood cut and a variety of mixed media. I love working with traditional print techniques by hand and with paper, a material that can be both strong and delicate. For me, the choice of paper also has to do with touch; I want my works not only to appeal visually, but feel good when you hold them. Printmaking lends itself well to detail and a huge variety of aesthetics; it's versatile, intimate and meticulous. I love all aspects of printmaking, including the problem solving that comes with the medium.
