Global Print 2013

I am taking part in Global Print 2013, an international printmaking exhibition held in Portugal starting at the end of this month. I can't wait to see all the works in the catalogue. Anyone in the area, please go check it out.

About Me

Valerie Syposz: Printmaker from Ottawa, Canada. I work with lithography, linocut, wood engraving, wood cut and a variety of mixed media. I love working with traditional print techniques by hand and with paper, a material that can be both strong and delicate. For me, the choice of paper also has to do with touch; I want my works not only to appeal visually, but feel good when you hold them. Printmaking lends itself well to detail and a huge variety of aesthetics; it's versatile, intimate and meticulous. I love all aspects of printmaking, including the problem solving that comes with the medium.
